Free Case Review Process & Details
Welcome, and thank you for your trust! Since 1991, we have been honored to evaluate cases from around the world, at no cost and no obligation to prospective patients who may be considering our care. All reviews are conducted by CEC surgeons to determine whether you - or a loved one - may be a candidate for surgery at our Center and to help inform your decision-making process as you consider further diagnosis and care. A prior diagnosis is never needed, nor is a referral from another healthcare practitioner. Please read on for important information and to learn more. We’re glad you’re here!
Who is Eligible for a Free Case Review?
If you are a physician or physician’s office making a direct referral, please call our team directly at 770-913-0001, ext 100 or have the patient complete the registration form below. Thank you! IMPORTANT: PLEASE DO NOT SUBMIT MEDICAL RECORDS WITHOUT PRIOR NOTICE.
If you or a loved one wish to explore the option of possible surgery here at the CEC and you have never undergone a free case evaluation by any of our surgeons previously, please proceed! We are always accepting new patients from around the world. A prior diagnosis is never required, and you do not need a referral from your physician or an insurance company. No office visit is necessary for the initial consult; your free consult will be conducted virtually from wherever you are in the world.
However, we kindly ask that if you meet any of the following criteria, please do not register:
-You are already an established CEC patient from any year - please call our office directly with your needs at 770-913-0001. We look forward to following up on your care!
-You already have an appointment scheduled with one of our surgeons. Please contact the front office team with questions about your appointment at 770-913-0001, ext 100, and our front office team will be delighted to assist you.
-You are only seeking a formal second opinion and not considering surgery. Please make an appointment with one of our surgeons instead by calling us at 770-913-0001. Many thanks!
-You have undergone a case review or had an appointment previously with any of our surgeons, at any time in the past.We kindly ask that you please call and make an appointment instead at 770-913-0001, ext 100. Thank you.
Please note; not all cases will be recommended for surgical intervention, and not everyone is a surgical candidate. Our team will assess your personal situation with care and clinical expertise. Certain factors, including but not limited to, medically fragile conditions, BMI above 45 for Laparoscopic Excision or BMI above 55 for Robotic-Assisted Laparoscopic Excision (due to surgical positioning safety measures), and/or other health factors and concerns may affect surgical eligibility. These considerations are reviewed thoroughly with you during the evaluation process to ensure patient safety and the best possible outcomes. Thank you for understanding. Free Case Consult Registration
Case reviews are not conducted on a ‘rush’ basis. Each submission is carefully evaluated in the order it is received. The time from sending your files to undergoing your free consult may be up to a month in some instances. Once your form below is submitted, you will receive an email with further detailed instructions, timeline expectations, a list of (very) specific materials to send, and next steps to proceed. We kindly ask that you please double-check your entries before submitting your form to ensure we are able to contact you back as quickly as we can. Thank you!
Forms are responded to generally within 24 hours; if you do not receive your registration email, please check your ‘spam’ folder. If you still do not see it, please contact us via email to follow up. We have no way of knowing if our emails are not received, so please be sure to follow up with our staff.
Privacy & Information Disclosure: The following data is submitted through a secured portal and is required to register for the free review consult. The information becomes part of your formal medical record on file with us. We collect this information upfront in order to create a privacy-protected entry allowing us to track your case, ensure a thorough record review, perform billing services as necessary/applicable, and support safe, patient-centered/personalized care if you undergo surgery at our Center. This data is stored securely in accordance with federal privacy regulations and is never shared with any third party, for any reason.
