About the CEC Treatment at the CEC What is Endometriosis? Educational Library Patient Forms |
Treatment at CEC
The CEC is a center for
excellence specializing in the comprehensive laparoscopic excision of
Endometriosis in female patients of all ages, from around the world. Our
patients come to us from all around the globe; all of North America,
Australia, Japan, Great Britain, Brazil, India, the Caribbean, and more. We
assure you that the CEC will always treat you with respect and compassion
should you choose our Center. Free Records Review & EvaluationThe CEC is pleased to offer a free records review and evaluation service to the global Endometriosis community. By sending your case file and corresponding forms to our team, you will be given the opportunity to have your case assessed by a world class expert on Endometriosis. Our surgeons take significant time reviewing the medical records, narrative, images and information contained in each case file at no cost to the patient. Once your case has been reviewed, one of our surgeons will contact you directly to share his impressions and recommendations, and to review a potential treatment plan for you should you choose to come to our Center. There is NO charge for this free review and resulting phone or written consult with Dr. Albee and Dr. Sinervo. Because ours is among the few Centers of Excellence that do not charge patients for this service, we ask that only women and girls who are actually considering treatment here submit their files. Please know that you *do not* need to have a prior surgical diagnosis or suffer from an advanced case of Endo to be considered for treatment at the CEC. We do also accept direct referrals from other healthcare providers, of course, but such a referral is not required by us to be considered for potential treatment with our team. If you know you have Endometriosis, or think you might, we are very happy to try and help you. Records will be returned to the patient thereafter (upon request only). If the candidate does not become a CEC patient and her records remain unclaimed for one year, they will be destroyed. Please include a written request for the return of your file in your review package. WE CANNOT ACCEPT UNSOLICTED RECORDS. Please do not send your file without first registering either online or with our Program Director at 866-733-5540. For in-depth instructions on getting your file reviewed, please first register at http://centerforendo.com/sendingyourrecords.htm. Our staff will respond with a detailed review of the process, as well as provide you with the required forms. In-Office Consults/New Patient Appointments Should you wish to come into our office for an in-office consult, we look forward to seeing you. Please call 770-913-0001 to schedule that appointment. Note that you will be considered a new CEC patient and subject to our standard office consult fee, accordingly. Should surgery be scheduled at the time of your new-patient consult, you may be eligible to have the office fee waived. Please discuss this at the time of your appointment. If you thereafter decide to cancel surgery, the fee for the consult becomes due and payable.
Once you become a patient of the CEC's, surgeries are performed at Northside Hospital's main campus at 1000 Johnson Ferry Road, Atlanta, GA 30042 (Atlanta's leading medical center). To learn more about Northside's campuses, please visit http://www.northside.com. All of your other pre- and post-op medical needs will be served by our full staff at our beautiful offices in Perimeter Center. We look forward to helping you. Feel free to contact our Program Director anytime for a more in-depth discussion of how this all works or to ask any questions, or, in the interim, simply follow the links below for further information on pursuing treatment with the CEC. We are here to assist you every step of the way, and we are grateful for your trust! |
